New England Patriots NFL draft picks 2025: Full list of team’s round-by-round selections

The New England Patriots endured a difficult 2024 NFL season. They went just 4-13 and decided to make Jerod Mayo, tapped as the successor for the legendary Bill Belichick, a one-and-done head coaching hire.

The good news for the Patriots? They found their quarterback of the future. Drake Maye, the No. 3 overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft, enjoyed success as a rookie despite playing behind a weak offensive line and with a thin receiving corps.

New England has already spent significant resources during free agency to improve its roster. The Patriots’ most notable signing was defensive tackle Milton Williams, but players like right tackle Morgan Moses, center Garrett Bradbury and wide receiver Stefon Diggs will provide Maye with more support than he had in 2025.

Still, Mike Vrabel and the Patriots will want to continue to support Maye more during the 2025 NFL Draft. New England should have plenty of ways to upgrade its roster and could land a blue-chip player with the fourth overall selection.

Patriots 2025 NFL Draft picks

The Patriots have nine picks in the 2025 NFL Draft. Here’s the complete list:

A few weeks ago, the Pats might have thought another quarterback would force Hunter or Carter down to them. No such luck, but Campbell is hardly a consolation prize – especially given the mandate to better support second-year QB Drake Maye. A consensus All-American, Campbell (6-6, 319) will be charged with safeguarding Maye’s blind side – he was sacked on nearly 10% of his dropbacks as a rookie – and will have to do so despite his highly scrutinized arm length, which is shy of 33 inches (depending on who measures them). Regardless, those have hardly impacted his punch, sweet feet or ability to handle the SEC’s best pass rushers – he allowed just four sacks during three seasons (38 starts) as the Tigers’ starter. As for intangibles, he was the first offensive lineman to wear the treasured No. 7 at LSU – like Derek Stingley, Tyrann Mathieu, Leonard Fournette and Patrick Peterson, among others, before him – albeit as a patch above Campbell’s No. 66. Worst case, it seems he’ll be an All-Pro guard in the NFL – and New England could use one of those, too. Oh, and he’s got some serious swag. – Nate Davis, USA TODAY Sports

  • Round 2, Pick 38: RB TreVeyon Henderson, Ohio State

Analysis from USA TODAY Sports’ Nate Davis: Frequently compared to the Lions’ Jahmyr Gibbs, the 5-10, 202-pound All-Big Ten performer is a lightning bolt out of the backfield – using his 4.4 speed to pace the conference with 7.1 yards per rush last season. And while Henderson can also catch the ball (77 receptions in four seasons) and averaged better than a TD per game in Columbus, he’s a renowned pass protector. He becomes another needed weapon for second-year QB Drake Maye and, even if Henderson doesn’t start, might well get more snaps than sledgehammer Rhamondre Stevenson, New England’s RB1 in recent years.

  • Round 3, Pick 69: Kyle Williams, WR, Washington State

Analysis from USA TODAY Sports’ Nate Davis: He racked up 1,198 receiving yards and 14 TDs in 2024, and his deep-threat potential is an attribute New England’s popgun offense badly needed.

  • Round 3, Pick 95: Jared Wilson, C, Georgia

Analysis from USA TODAY Sports’ Nate Davis: Impressive interior athlete, running a 4.84 40 at the combine at 6-3 and 310 pounds. Could immediately move into the pivot vacated by the release of longtime stalwart David Andrews.

  • Round 4, Pick 106: Craig Woodson, S, California
  • Round 5, Pick 137 (from Seahawks): Joshua Farmer, DT, Florida State
  • Round 5, Pick 146 (via Panthers)
  • Round 5, Pick 171 (via Cowboys)
  • Round 7, Pick 220

Patriots 2025 NFL Draft needs

Offensive tackle

The Patriots had one of the worst offensive lines in the NFL during the 2024 NFL season. They acquired Moses to serve as an upgrade at right tackle but need to find an upgrade over Vederian Lowe on the left side. That’s why the Patriots have been tied to top tackle prospects Will Campbell and Armand Membou ahead of the 2025 NFL Draft.

Wide receiver

The Patriots signed Diggs to a three-year, $69 million deal in free agency, but they don’t have much beyond the 31-year-old wide-out. No Patriots receiver had more than 621 yards last season (DeMario Douglas) so expect New England to invest in a high-end receiver prospect to pair with Maye long-term.

Edge rusher

Signing Harold Landry to serve as a top edge rusher was a smart move given the Boston College’s experience in Mike Vrabel’s scheme, but the Patriots could stand to add another high-end pass rusher to pair with the soon-to-be 29-year-old. Abdul Carter would be an ideal fit if he’s still on the board with the No. 4 pick, but the Patriots can find a quality edge rushers down the board in a deep class.

Patriots 2025 NFL mock draft

Here’s what the Patriots could do come draft night, according to USA TODAY Sports’ Ayrton Ostly:

  • Round 1, Pick 4: OL Will Campbell, LSU
  • The Patriots need a left tackle and Campbell’s played that at a high level for LSU and brings leadership qualities to the NFL. His lack of length may make it tough to last on the outside but he’s a tackle until proven otherwise. If not, he’ll make for a stellar guard.
  • Round 2, Pick 38: DT Derrick Harmon, Oregon
  • New Patriots coach Mike Vrabel comes from Tennessee, where the Titans built up physical, imposing offensive and defensive lines. They invested in free agency on defense but Harmon offers an ideal skillset for the interior.
  • Round 3, Pick 69: WR Elic Ayomanor, Stanford
  • Round 3, Pick 77: OT Anthony Belton, N.C. State
  • Round 4, Pick 106: RB Dylan Sampson, Tennessee
  • Round 5, Pick 144: Edge Collin Oliver, Oklahoma State
  • Round 6, Pick 171: Edge Tyler Batty, BYU
  • Round 7, Pick 220: WR KeAndre Lambert-Smith, Auburn
  • Round 7, Pick 238: CB Mac McWilliams, UCF
