NFL mock draft 2025: Shedeur Sanders finally gets selected in latest Day 3 predictions

The first two days of the 2025 NFL Draft are in the books. Some picks have been surprising but the storyline hanging over the draft is the fall of Colorado quarterback Shedeur Sanders.

He led college football in completion percentage in 2024 but remains undrafted entering the final day of the event. The last four rounds comprise the bulk of the entire draft with 145 players set to be taken.

This is the day when teams fill out the rest of their roster holes and look for depth at key spots of need. Beyond Sanders’ fall, other players are available much later than expected. At least a dozen running backs will likely be taken on Day 3 to round out one of the best classes in modern history.

How far will Sanders fall? We try to answer that in more with this Day 3 mock draft, with favorite fits for Rounds 4 and 5.

  • 136) Baltimore Ravens: Dont’e Thornton Jr., WR, Tennessee
  • 137) Seattle Seahawks: David Walker, Edge, Central Arkansas
  • 138) San Francisco 49ers: Jalin Conyers, TE, Texas Tech

Favorite fits:

  • Gunnar Helm, TE, Texas to the New England Patriots (No. 106): New England has set the precedent of building up the offense in this draft. In Helm, the get a good pass-catching tight end with proven blocking skills as well.
  • Quincy Riley, CB, Louisville to the Las Vegas Raiders (No. 108): Las Vegas picked a cornerback in Round 3 but they’re too thin at the position. They get the slightly undersized but incredibly productive Riley to round out the group.
  • Elic Ayomanor, WR, Stanford to the New York Jets (No. 110): New York’s made the right choices through the first three rounds by combining good value with needs on the roster. They could use another wide receiver and Ayomanor can stick on the outside thanks to his size, athleticism and body control.
  • Tyrion Ingram-Dawkins, Edge, Georgia to the Philadelphia Eagles (No. 111): Philadelphia loves building up the trenches but hasn’t done so in the draft yet. They change that by going back to the Georgia well and getting the athletic but inexperienced Ingram-Dawkins.
  • Cameron Williams, OT, Texas to the San Francisco 49ers (No. 113): San Francisco’s ignored needs on the offensive line so far but do so no more with Williams in Round 4. The Texas product is an elite athlete but raw and can take a year to learn from Trent Williams before moving to a bigger role in 2026.
  • Seth McLaughlin, IOL, Ohio State to the Atlanta Falcons (No. 118): Atlanta’s done well to address needs on defense but are banking on an in-house promotion at center. McLaughlin can at least provide depth on the interior after a very good college career.
  • Tory Horton, WR, Colorado State to the Los Angeles Rams (No. 127): Los Angeles already selected a tight end on Day 2 and grab Horton here as a potential outside receiver of the future once Davante Adams decides to hang up his cleats.
  • Bhayshul Tuten, RB, Virginia Tech to the Kansas City Chiefs (No. 133): Kansas City could use more speed in the backfield and get that with Tuten who could be a great compliment to bell-cow back Isaiah Pacheco.

Round 5

  • 139) Minnesota Vikings (from Browns): Tommi Hill, CB, Nebraska
  • 140) Carolina Panthers (from Giants): Marques Sigle, S, Kansas State
  • 141) Tennessee Titans: Damien Martinez, RB, Miami
  • 142) Minnesota Vikings (from Jaguars): Jaylen Reed, S, Penn State
  • 143) Miami Dolphins (from Raiders): Brashard Smith, RB, SMU
  • 144) New England Patriots: Deone Walker, DT, Kentucky
  • 145) New York Jets: Jalen Rivers, OL, Miami
  • 146) New England Patriots (from Panthers): Chris Paul Jr., LB, Ole Miss
  • 147) San Francisco 49ers (from Saints through Commanders): Jarquez Hunter, RB, Auburn

  • 155) Miami Dolphins (from Broncos): Aeneas Peebles, DT, Virginia Tech
  • 156) Pittsburgh Steelers: Shedeur Sanders, QB, Colorado
  • 157) Tampa Bay Buccaneers: J.J. Pegues, DT, Ole Miss
  • 158) Los Angeles Chargers: Kaimon Rucker, Edge, North Carolina
  • 159) Green Bay Packers: Jay Toia, DT, UCLA
  • 160) San Francisco 49ers (from Vikings): Logan Brown, OT, Kansas
  • 161) Philadelphia Eagles (from Texans): Arian Smith, WR, Georgia
  • 162) New York Jets (from Rams through Steelers): Fadil Diggs, Edge, Syracuse
  • 163) Carolina Panthers (from Ravens): Nick Nash, WR, San Jose State
  • 164) Kansas City Chiefs (from Eagles): Jack Sawyer, Edge, Ohio State
  • 165) Philadelphia Eagles (from Commanders): Hollin Pierce, OT, Rutgers
  • 166) Cleveland Browns (from Bills through Texans): Zy Alexander, CB, LSU
  • 167) Tennessee Titans (from Chiefs): Joe Huber, OL, Wisconsin
  • 168) Philadelphia Eagles: Cam Jackson, DT, Florida
  • 169) Buffalo Bills: Drew Kendall, C, Boston College
  • 170) Buffalo Bills (from Cowboys): Kain Medrano, LB, UCLA
  • 171) New England Patriots (from Cowboys): Hayden Conner, G, Texas
  • 172) Seattle Seahawks: Bru McCoy, WR, Tennessee
  • 173) Buffalo Bills: Jason Marshall Jr., CB, Florida
  • 174) Dallas Cowboys: Danny Stutsman, LB, Oklahoma
  • 175) Seattle Seahawks: Tyler Baron, Edge, Miami
  • 176) Baltimore Ravens: Cam Skattebo, RB, Arizona State

Favorite fits:

  • Tommi Hill, CB, Nebraska to the Minnesota Vikings (No. 139): Minnesota needs cornerback depth and they get a high-ceiling option in the tall, long Hill.
  • Damien Martinez, RB, Miami to the Tennessee Titans (No. 141): Tennessee has two dynamic running backs but needs a early-down runner with power and that’s exactly what Martinez provides.
  • Deone Walker, DT, Kentucky to the New England Patriots (No. 144): Coach Mike Vrabel built a winner in Tennessee by building up the trenches with power and length. Walker needs refinement but he can bring both to the Patriots with time.
  • Tez Johnson, WR, Oregon to the Miami Dolphins (No. 150): Johnson is an outlier size-wise and will be off the board for many teams. For the Dolphins, he could be a speedy slot option in their offense.
  • Jackson Slater, IOL, Sacramento State to the New York Giants (No. 154): New York’s spent a lot of draft capital on defense but get a small-school standout to bolster the offensive line.
  • Nick Nash, WR, San Jose State to the Carolina Panthers (No. 163): The Panthers got a big-bodied target in Tetairoa McMillan in Round 1 and get a proven, productive slot receiver in Nash to round out the receiving corps.
  • Drew Kendall, C, Boston College to the Buffalo Bills (No. 169): Bills center Connor McGovern will be a free agent next season. Kendall could provide a succession plan in case a deal doesn’t get done.
  • Danny Stutsman, LB, Oklahoma to the Dallas Cowboys (No. 174): Danny Stutsman just sounds like a Cowboy. With DeMarvion Overshown recovering from injury, he could provide needed depth at the position.

Round 6

  • 177) Buffalo Bills (from Giants): Mac McWilliams, CB, UCF
  • 178) Tennessee Titans: Chase Lundt, OT, UConn
