Louisville women’s basketball lives to fight another day in the NCAA Tournament.The No. 7 Cardinals were able to hold off No. 10 Nebraska in the first round of the NCAA Tournament, 63-58.The first quarter of the game saw both teams trading scores, but Louisville would find a spark in the second quarter to take a 36-32 lead at halftime.UofL kept a steady lead as the third quarter got underway, although Nebraska wasn’t going away. The Cornhuskers would go on a run in the fourth, taking a 56-52 lead with just under three minutes left. But Louisville’s defense would step up big, holding the Cornhuskers to just two points in the last three minutes of the game.Tajianna Roberts led UofL in scoring with 16 points, while Olivia Cochran and Jayda Curry were right behind her with 14 and 13 points.The No. 7 Cardinals move onto the second round where they’ll face No. 2 TCU and former Card Hailey Van Lith on Sunday.
