The fighter even made a cryptic statement about his retirement at the Ariel Helwani Show in 2024, where he exclusively mentioned one or two more matches in his career. A recent training video on the internet has now sparked a discussion about whether Poirier will make an announcement about the final fight of his career shortly.

With an MMA record of 30-9-0, Dustin Poirier has made a name for himself within the lightweight division of the UFC. Currently ranked in 5th position within the division, he is one of the top contenders for the title. While rumors state that the fighter is gearing up to face Max Holloway, however, the recent callout by Paddy Pimblett after winning the bout at UFC 314 against Michael Chandler might make the scenario a bit different.
