Though the 2025 MLB season officially began in Japan last week, Opening Day has officially arrived stateside with 28 of the 30 teams in action on Thursday.
Everyone will be chasing the Dodgers, in multiple ways, after they won last year’s World Series and began defense of their title with a two-game sweep of the Chicago Cubs in Tokyo.
With a few exceptions for injuries and other mitigating factors, each club will have its ace on the mound as they kick off their regular season schedules. Most teams will take the field in the sunshine, with only two of Thursday’s openers being night games.
