STATE. AND JUST IN THIS MORNING, NEW REPORTS OF TORNADO DAMAGE FROM THAT SAME LINE OF STORMS NEAR TULSA. OUR PARTNER STATION, KOCO, SHARING THESE NEW IMAGES WITH US. AND THIS IS WHAT IT LOOKS LIKE THERE IN AND AROUND OWASSO. THAT’S JUST NORTHEAST OF TULSA. INITIAL REPORTS SAY THIS IS POSSIBLE TORNADO DAMAGE, BUT WE WILL WAIT FOR THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE TO CONFIRM THAT. IT APPEARS FROM THE PICTURES THAT TREES WERE RIPPED FROM THE GROUND. FENCES WERE DOWNED AND ROOFS WERE RIPPED OFF OF BUILDINGS. SO FAR, NO WORD ON ANY INJURIES OR.

A tornado reportedly touched down and caused damage in Owasso while severe storms moved through northeastern Oklahoma. Tulsa-area television station Fox 23 reports that a radar-confirmed tornado touched down in Owasso near Whirlpool at 76th Street and Highway 75. The tornado continued northeast toward 86th and Memorial before crossing over Highway 169 and onto Highway 20. Pictures from Fox 23 showed some damage in the area, with a tree being snapped in half and part of a structure’s siding being torn off. Fox 23 says the tornado warnings for the area have ended. They urge people to avoid downed utility lines and ask that people not drive around barricades. Owasso is a city of more than 41,000 people located in Tulsa and Rogers counties. The city is just north of Tulsa and is about 115 miles northeast of Oklahoma City.
