LIGHTNING OUT THERE PRETTY MUCH RIGHT NOW. YES. STORMY START TO OUR FRIDAY FOR SURE. CHRISTINE. YOU GOT IT. AND A LOT OF FOLKS ARE UP AND ABOUT THIS MORNING BECAUSE OF THE THUNDER AND THE LIGHTNING, THE HEAVY RAIN. BUT I DO THINK THE WORST OF IT IS RIGHT NOW. AND THEN IT WILL BE MOVING OUT BY 8:00. IT LOOKS A LOT QUIETER THAN SO JUST IMPACTS FOR THE NEXT FEW HOURS. WATCH FOR PONDING ON THE ROAD, ESPECIALLY IF YOU’RE HEADED OUT. SPOTTY SHOWER POSSIBLE THIS AFTERNOON OR EVENING, BUT I THINK MOST OF THE DAY IS GOING TO BE DRY AND IT WILL ALSO FEATURE MILD TEMPERATURES. HERE’S A LOOK AT OUR STORM TEAM LIVE RADAR NETWORK. WE DO HAVE A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING FOR CHESTER COUNTY, EASTERN CHESTER COUNTY HEADED TOWARD PHILADELPHIA WITH THAT STRONG CELL. BUT THE REST OF THE AREA. NO WARNINGS WERE ISSUED OVERNIGHT. THE STORMS WERE PACKING A PUNCH, BUT THEY WEREN’T SEVERE. SO LET’S TAKE A LOOK AT WHERE THE HEAVIEST RAIN IS RIGHT NOW. YOU CAN SEE IT OVER NORTHERN LANCASTER COUNTY JUST MOVING PAST EPHRATA TOWARD CHERRY HILL. WE HAVE SOME LIGHTNING HERE, SOME POUNDING RAIN HEADED TOWARD HOLTWOOD. DEFINITELY A LIGHT SHOW AROUND FAWN GROVE AND DELTA FOR YOU TOO, RIGHT THROUGH YORK CITY. STARTING TO SEE THE RAIN WINDING DOWN FOR THE TIME BEING. EMIGSVILLE AS WELL, AND THEN BACK TOWARD FRANKLIN AND ADAMS COUNTY. WE HAVE SOME HEAVY RAIN JUST SOUTH OF THE STATE LINE, AND THEN JUST SOUTH OF GETTYSBURG TOWARD EMMITSBURG IN MARYLAND. SO OUR FORECAST FOR TODAY SHOWS THE HEAVIEST RAIN STARTS TO WIND DOWN NEXT FEW HOURS. I DO EXPECT A FEW SHOWERS STILL AROUND LATE MORNING, BUT THE HEAVIEST WILL REALLY BE BEHIND US NOW AS WE HEAD INTO LATER IN THE AFTERNOON. YOU MIGHT SEE A BREAK OF SUN OR TWO. HIGH PRESSURE IS GOING TO TRY TO BUILD IN TO OUR NORTH, BUT I DO THINK IT STAYS MOSTLY CLOUDY TODAY AND THERE COULD BE JUST A STRAY SHOWER LATER ON. HERE’S OUR NEWS EIGHT STORM TEAM FORECAST OUR HIGHS TODAY 62 TO 66 DEGREES. SPOTTY SHOWER LATER. WORST OF THE WEATHER ALMOST BEHIND US THIS MORNING FOR TONIGHT. MOSTLY CLOUDY. PASSING SHOWER. CAN’T BE RULED OUT. WE STILL STAY MILD IN THE 50S. AND THEN FOR TOMORROW, MOSTLY CLOUDY. FEW SHOWERS HERE. THERE’S A BOUNDARY THAT TRIES TO LIFT NORTH. IT DOESN’T GET VERY FAR INTO THE SUSQUEHANNA VALLEY, SO I THINK IT WILL BE A LITTLE BIT COOLER TOMORROW WITH A WIND OUT OF THE NORTH NORTHEAST. HERE’S OUR ALMANAC. YESTERDAY’S HIGH 74 DEGREES. IT WAS A WARM ONE. ALSO FELT A LITTLE STICKY. DID YOU NOTICE THAT REALLY PRIMED US FOR THOSE OVERNIGHT STORMS? SO RIGHT NOW IT’S STILL IN THE 60S. IN MANY AREAS. TEMPERATURES MAY FALL TO THE 50S, THOUGH OVER THE NEXT COUPLE OF HOURS. WEATHER A HEALTH UPDATE TODAY. OUR TREE POLLEN LEVELS ARE MODERATE, AIR QUALITY. ALSO MODERATE UV INDEX IS LOW WITH ALL OF THE CLOUDS AROUND. SO OUR STORM TEAM LIVE RADAR NETWORK RIGHT NOW THE STRONGEST STORMS ARE MOVING OFF TO OUR EAST. BEHIND IT, WE’LL JUST SEE A LITTLE LIGHT RAIN FILTERING IN, BUT THERE’S A BOUNDARY SITTING RIGHT OVERHEAD, AND THAT BOUNDARY SAGS TO OUR SOUTH LATER TODAY, AS HIGH PRESSURE ROLLS ACROSS THE NORTHEAST. SO IT LOOKS LIKE WE DO CLOUD BACK UP LATER THIS EVENING. TONIGHT THERE COULD BE SOME PASSING SHOWERS OVERNIGHT. AND THEN TOMORROW THIS WARM FRONT TRIES TO LIFT NORTH. IT DOESN’T HAVE MUCH LUCK. I THINK WE GET STUCK IN THE 50S FOR OUR HIGHS ON SATURDAY. NOW THE FRONT DOES LIFT NORTH ON SUNDAY, BUT AT THE SAME TIME A COLD FRONT COMES IN SUNDAY MORNING. SO THAT WILL PROVIDE SOME SHOWERS ON SUNDAY MORNING. LOOKS LIKE WE GET A LITTLE BREAK SUNDAY AFTERNOON, THEN LOW PRESSURE ROLLING BY TO OUR SOUTH WILL PROVIDE A FEW ADDITIONAL SHOWERS SUNDAY EVENING. SO HEY, NOT A BAD WEEKEND. LOT OF CLOUDS AROUND. TEMPERATURES WILL BE AVERAGE IN THE UPPER 50S, BUT THERE WILL BE SOME SHOWERS MAINLY ACTUALLY IN THE OVERNIGHT OR LATE IN THE DAY EARLY NEXT WEEK. TEMPERATURES START TO FALL. COULD BE IN THE 40S FOR OUR HIGHS MONDAY, TUESDAY, PERHAPS EVEN WEDNESDAY. WE’LL KEEP A WATCHFUL EYE ON THAT AND OVERNIGHT LOWS ARE GOING TO BE CHILLY AS WELL. WE COULD DIP INTO THE
