Paige Bueckers’ WNBA Mock Drafts Are Predicting the Same Thing

When it comes to Paige BueckersWNBA projections, the mock drafts are all predicting the same thing. Bueckers is widely projected to be the No. 1 pick in the 2025 WNBA draft on April 14.

The bigger question is if Bueckers will try to force her way to a particular WNBA team. It is an idea Bueckers tried to shoot down during the Final Four.

“The reports are the reports,” Bueckers told Front Office Sports on Friday regarding the ongoing WNBA rumors. “People write stories, and it’s whatever. Honestly, I’m not really worried about that at the moment.

“I’m just worried about being here, being present with the team, and trying to get better every single day. So whatever the future may hold, it’s only in God’s hands.”

The Dallas Wings hold the No. 1 pick and are expected to select Bueckers. ESPN, Yahoo Sports and The Athletic along with several additional national outlets have the Wings snagging Bueckers with the No. 1 pick in their latest mock drafts.

“There has been plenty of chatter in the hoops world that Bueckers might not want to play in Dallas,” ESPN’s Michael Voepel wrote on March 25. “She hasn’t commented on the topic. But as it stands, Bueckers is the clear top pick.

“Even though she has one season of eligibility remaining, Bueckers has made it clear she won’t return to UConn. She is averaging 18.7 points and shooting 41.6% from behind the arc.”
