Paul Heyman’s Favor To CM Punk Confirmed For WWE WrestleMania 41

WWE

The favor that Paul Heyman owes to CM Punk was revealed during tonight’s April 4 episode of WWE SmackDown in Chicago.

Punk is set for a three-way match against Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins at WrestleMania 41 in the main event of night one on April 19.

Going back to November, Punk agreed to join Roman Reigns’ OG Bloodline team for the WarGames match at Survivor Series – with the caveat that Reigns’ wise man Paul Heyman would owe Punk a favor down the line.

In the past few weeks, that favor has been the topic of a lot of discussion, with the assumption it will have a big effect on Punk vs Reigns vs Rollins.

In an in-ring segment at the end of SmackDown tonight with all three participants and Heyman, Punk revealed what the favor is.

Punk told the story of many years ago when he was OVW and Heyman was a big advocate at a time for him that there weren’t many in WWE who believed in him.

At that time, Heyman told Punk that if he ever main events WrestleMania, Heyman would be in his corner.

Punk brought that back around and stated that the favor is exactly that – Heyman accompanying Punk to the ring and being in his corner at WrestleMania instead of Reigns’.

Reigns initially laughed that off, thinking Heyman would simply say no, but that’s not what happened.

When Reigns got heated and ordered Heyman to say no to Punk, an emotional Heyman said:

“No my Tribal Chief, I can’t do that.”

Therefore, Heyman has essentially pledged his allegiance to Punk for WrestleMania.

Reigns then physically confronted Heyman, leading to Punk giving Reigns a GTS as Rollins just watched on at the chaos unfolding in front of him.
