Police responding to active shooter scene at Corewell Health Beaumont hospital in Troy

TROY, Mich. (FOX 2) – Local police are responding to an active shooter at the Corewell Health Beaumont hospital in Troy, law enforcement officials confirmed.

Sterling Heights police confirmed with FOX 2 they responded to the hospital alongside Troy police for reports of an active shooter. Law enforcement with Troy police also confirmed they were responding to a scene, but did not provide any further details.

FOX 2 reached out to Corewell Health. A spokesperson was aware of the situation but could not confirm any details.

The hospital is located off of Dequindre Road south of M-59 in Oakland County.
