AND EVERYBODY COULD GET RESTORED. WE ASK YOU JUST TO BE PATIENT. SO FALLEN TREES AREN’T JUST KNOCKING OUT THE POWER AND BLOCKING THE ROADS. THEY’VE DAMAGED QUITE A FEW HOMES ACROSS GREATER CINCINNATI ON BOTH SIDES OF THE RIVER. LET’S CONTINUE OUR LIVE TEAM COVERAGE WITH MY CO-ANCHOR, MEGAN MITCHELL. SHE’S IN ERLANGER, WHERE A DRAMATIC RESCUE TOOK PLACE OVERNIGHT. MEGAN. THAT’S RIGHT. STEVEN. AND WHEN YOU TAKE A LOOK AT THE HOUSE BEHIND ME, IT IS MIRACULOUS THAT THIS WOMAN WAS ONE ABLE TO MAKE IT OUT ALIVE. BUT TWO ONLY CAME AWAY WITH MINOR INJURIES WHEN RESCUERS HAD TO GET HER TRAPPED. BECAUSE OF THIS OAK TREE, YOU CAN SEE THAT THE ROOTS HAVE BEEN RIPPED OUT OF THE GROUND. THE TRUNK OF THIS TREE IS AT LEAST 2.5FT IN DIAMETER, SO IT GIVES YOU A SENSE OF JUST HOW HEAVY IT WAS WHEN IT CAME COLLAPSING ON THE FRONT ROOM OF THIS HOME, YOU CAN SEE THAT THAT FRONT WINDOW IS DOWN. YOU CAN SEE THAT THE BRICKS ARE ALMOST PULLED BACK LIKE WALLPAPER. YOU CAN ALSO SEE THAT THERE’S FOUNDATIONAL ISSUES AS WELL. THE ENTIRE FIRST FLOOR. I DON’T KNOW IF YOU’RE ABLE TO SEE, BUT YOU CAN ACTUALLY TELL THAT THERE’S A PILLOW RIGHT THERE. THERE’S BEDROOM FURNITURE. THIS WOMAN POSSIBLY IN THAT BEDROOM ASLEEP WHEN THIS HAPPENED, WHICH JUST GIVES YOU THE SENSE THAT YOU NEED TO BE WEATHER AWARE WHEN THESE THINGS HAPPEN. SHE WAS SO LUCKY. THE OTHER TWO FOLKS IN THIS HOUSE WERE ALSO ABLE TO GET OUT AS WELL. AND THIS HAPPENED RIGHT NOW OR THIS HAPPENED RIGHT NOW. WE ARE IN THE 100 BLOCK OF DIVISION STREET. IT HAPPENED JUST AFTER MIDNIGHT LAST NIGHT. OFFICIALS DID SAY IT WAS HARD TO RESCUE THIS WOMAN BECAUSE OF THE RAIN THAT WAS COMING DOWN. YOU SEE JUST HOW BAD IT WAS OVERNIGHT. AND THEY SAID THAT THAT PERSON WAS TALKING. THEY WERE ALERT WHEN THEY WERE ABLE TO GET TO HER. TWO OTHER PEOPLE WERE ABLE TO GET OUT OF THE HOUSE ON THEIR OWN. THE LIGHTNING. I’VE NEVER SEEN SUCH LIGHTNING. IT WAS CRAZY. THAT’S WHY WE HAD GOTTEN UP INITIALLY TO TO CLOSE SOME WINDOWS, AND THE LIGHTNING WAS JUST CRAZY. I JUST DON’T KNOW HOW I’M GOING TO GET ANY REST THE REST OF THE NIGHT. IT’S SO TRUE WHEN YOU KNOW THE NEXT STEPS INVOLVE TRYING TO GET THIS CLEANED UP, TRYING TO GET YOUR HOME BACK UP, WORKING WITH INSURANCE, WORKING WITH THOSE CONTRACTORS. WITHIN THE LAST THREE DAYS, STEVE AND I’VE BEEN TALKING TO ARBORISTS. I’VE BEEN TALKING TO ROOF CONTRACTORS, ALL OF THEM SAYING THAT EVEN WITHIN THESE LAST THREE DAYS, THEY HAVE BEEN INUNDATED WITH CALLS AND THAT RAIN, THEY SAID, IS SOMETHING THAT THEY LOOK CLOSELY TO, TO SEE IF THEY ARE ABLE TO EVEN GO OUT AND SURVEY THE DAMAGE. SO AS THE RAI
