The Houston Rockets brought their trademark intensity to Chase Center against the Golden State Warriors on Sunday night, and it resulted in a 106-96 road win for the No. 2 seed in the West.
Things got a little bit heated as both teams headed into the locker room for the halftime break. This is after Rockets head coach Ime Udoka got into it with Warriors superstar Steph Curry as the two crossed paths on the court.
Curry appeared to have some choice words for the Houston shot-caller as Udoka walked past him. Udoka is not the type to back down from any confrontation, and it is clear that he, too, had a few things to say to the former back-to-back MVP.
Nothing came out of the mini altercation, and the two teams carried on with their respective halftime activities without incident.
After the game, reporters asked Udoka to share his side of the story, which had the Rockets coach playing down the heated on-court moment.
“I was talking to my team about the physicality,” Udoka said. “This is the type of game we like. This is who we are.
“He said something. I said something. Nothing. A little friendly banter.”
More importantly, though, Udoka had an excellent game plan against Curry entering this game, and his players executed it impressively.
This resulted in Curry, who has averaged 41.7 points on 51.3% shooting over his last three games, scoring just three points against the Rockets on 1-of-8 from distance and 1-of-10 overall.

It was a forgettable night for Curry and the Warriors, who have now found themselves in a four-way tie with the Los Angeles Clippers, Minnesota Timberwolves and Memphis Grizzlies for the No. 5 spot in the West.
The Rockets, on the other hand, have improved to 52-27 and are on the brink of securing the No. 2 seed in the conference with another win. Houston will return to action on Wednesday in another road game against the Clippers.
