Rockets down Bulls 117-114 for sixth straight win

This one wasn’t easy for the Houston Rockets, but Jalen Green Scored 28 points and Alperen Sengun added 24 points and 15 boards, as the Rockets came from behind to down the Chicago Bulls 117-114 for their sixth straight victory.

Houston was down 65-60 at halftime and engaged in a back-and-forth struggle all night, but they took the lead for good on a three by Green with about six minutes left in the game and then held on for the victory. Green also added 6 rebounds and 3 assists, while Sengun filled out the stat sheet by also adding 4 assists, 2 steals and 2 blocks. Sengun was 9-for-18 from the field, while Green went 11-for-25, incuding 5-for-13 from three.

The Rockets also got 23 points and 7 assists from Fred VanVleet, 13 points, 5 rebounds and 3 assists from Dillon Brooks, and 12 points and 9 boards from Jabari Smith Jr., who drew the start with Tari Eason not playing. Steven Adams once again played 22 minutes, as the Houston big lineup omade an appearance for yet another night. Adams had 4 points and 9 boards, 4 of which were offensive, as well as 3 assists, and he helped Houston win the rebounding battle 54-36, including a 16-5 edge on offensive boards.

The Bulls were led by Coby White, who had 23 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists, and Tre Jones, who had 19 points and 6 assists.

The Rockets moved to 43-25 on the season, and in a record tie with the Denver Nuggets and Memphis Grizzlies, with Houston holding the tiebreaker over both teams, so they are technically the second seed at the moment. The Rockets will back in action on Monday, with another winnable home game against the Philadelphia 76ers.
