After a year full of questions about the couple’s relationship status, Rory McIlroy’s wife Erica Stoll is front and center at Augusta National during the 2025 Masters. McIlroy played the annual Par 3 Contest on Wednesday with Stoll as his caddie and daughter Poppy crushing lengthy putts. 

The appearance comes less than one year after McIlroy and Stoll appeared headed for a divorce. Back in May 2024, news broke that McIlroy had filed for divorce. 

On June 11, 2024, McIlroy revealed to The Guardian that the couple “realized that our best future was as a family together.” 

Stoll and McIlroy ultimately opted against the divorce as the golfer’s wife has once again become a regular at PGA Tour tournaments.

If any questions remained about McIlroy and Stoll’s relationship, the couple squashed these rumors with the family appearance at Augusta National. Stoll was also spotted at TPC Sawgrass in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida, as McIlroy won The Players in a playoff on March 17. 

Leading up to the Masters, Stoll was giving McIlroy some advice as the star golfer aims to win his first green jacket. Stoll’s tips involved binging “Bridgerton,” and McIlroy is also reading some fiction. 

“I’ve gotten into ‘Bridgerton’ – I didn’t think I would. I was very against watching it, but Erica convinced me,” McIlroy told reporters on Tuesday, per The Mirror’s Neil McLeman. “So, we’re on a bit of a ‘Bridgerton’ kick this week, yeah.”

“And I for the first time in a long time am reading a novel. I actually got some fiction into my life. It’s a John Grisham book (called) ‘The Reckoning.’ It’s got off to a pretty good start.”

McIlroy heads into the weekend in contention on the Masters leaderboard. Time will tell if the new entertainment choices can help get McIlroy over the hump at Augusta.
