Seahawks’ Elijah Arroyo draft pick has 1 incredible stat on his side

Elijah Arroyo is explosive.

It’s not always the first word you associate with a tight end, but it’s the one that belongs with the Seahawks pick at No. 50 overall in the 2025 NFL Draft.

Here’s the stat that sums it all up for Arroyo: He averaged 16.9 yards per catch in 2024. That was the most among FBS tight ends.

Arroyo does it in a huge frame. He is 6-foot-5 and 250 pounds.

He didn’t run the 40 at the NFL Combine, but he did do 22 reps on the bench press.

Arroyo didn’t consistently dominate in college despite playing with Cam Ward in 2024.

He had 35 catches for 590 yards and seven TDs from Ward.

Before that, Arroyo had just 11 total catches in his first three college seasons with the Hurricanes.

The Seahawks are betting on Arroyo’s upside.

At the half-century mark, it’s a good bet to make.

Sam Darnold already has strong receivers in his new home with Jaxon Smith-Njigba and Cooper Kupp.

The addition of Arroyo gives Darnold a young pass catcher with a chance to grow into a star.

Arroyo, for his part, can put in the work to become one of the league’s best tight ends. He’s certainly got all the tools to do so.
