WICHITA FALLS (KFDX/KJTL) — According to early reports, Sheppard Air Force Base is on lockdown for an active shooter.
On Friday, March 28, at around 9:50 a.m., early reports alerted to an active shooter on the base at the golf course.
SAFB is currently on lockdown.
According to early reports, the suspect could be a white male with a blue ball cap and a blue shirt, but that has not been confirmed at this time.

Release from Sheppard AFB:
Sheppard AFB Security Forces responded to an active shooter report near the southeast side of the base this morning at about 9:40 a.m. After immediately securing Sheppard Elementary School, they began conducting sweeps in the area.
The base remains on lockdown, and more information will be released as it becomes available.
A release from Sheppard AFB said that nothing has been found to indicate a shooting, but the base reamains on lockdown as the sweeps continue.
