The Dallas Stars will have another opportunity Saturday to build upon their impressive win streak as they finish off their season series with the Pittsburgh Penguins. The Stars are riding a seven-game win streak, with their most recent victory coming via a 5-1 result over the Nashville Predators. That win closed the gap between them within four points of the Central Division leading Winnipeg Jets.

The Stars have been one of the hottest teams in the second half of the NHL season, as they have been winners in 15 out of 20 games. Throughout that span, the Stars have put forth a goal differential of +26. Dallas put that offensive dominance on display in their last outing against the Predators, where they tacked on five goals, all of which came unanswered.

Dallas had a similar outcome in their previous November contest with the Penguins, where the Stars took home a 7-1 victory. The Stars will rely on Wyatt Johnston to stay hot as the young forward is riding high on a six-game goal streak. Johnston is in the midst of a second-consecutive season in which he has tallied 30 goals. Goaltender Jake Oettinger will be back in action following a 28-save performance against Nashville. Oettinger carries a record of 36-15-3, along with a .912 save percentage.

Today’s game is scheduled for 2pm CST, and can be viewed on ABC and ESPN+.
