The Dallas Stars will face off one last time with the Utah HC on Saturday night. The Stars aim to squash their four-game losing streak that has seen them lose two in overtime. On the other side of the ice, the Utah HC are 5-3-2 in their last 10 games. Dallas has won the first three matchups between the two clubs, and aim to take home a clean sweep with a win tonight.

The Dallas Stars are in the final three games of their regular season, starting with the Utah HC. The Utah HC roll into town with not much to play for beside pride, after being officially eliminated from postseason contention. Often times in the NHL, teams with nothing to play for at any point in the season, are the most dangerous to play against. Besides having their hands full with Utah, there will be multiple game-time decisions as the flu bug has made the Dallas dressing room its latest stomping grounds.
In net tonight for the Stars will be Casey DeSmith. The backup net minder has posted a save percentage of .916, and will be searching for his 15th win of the season. The Stars will also receive some help from veteran defenseman Alex Petrovic, who was brought up this morning from AHL affiliate Texas Stars. Forward Roope Hintz comes into tonight’s tilt two goals off from reaching 30 on the season. Reaching the mark would be the fourth straight season in which the Finnish forward would reach the milestone.
Tonights’ puck drop is set for 7pm CDT, and can be viewed on Victory+.
