The Madrid Open is here! The third combined 1000-level tournament of the season is getting underway today with 10 first-round matches on the women’s side of the event, and Naomi Osaka is among those in action.

13:30 CET – The first two matches of the tournament are over, and they’ve seen young talent Alexandra Eala beat Viktoriya Tomova 6-3, 6-2 and Caroline Dolehide claim a 6-4, 6-4 victory over Elina Avanesyan.
