The 8 best TV shows added to Netflix in March

Over the month of March, Netflix has made headlines on several occasions for its latest releases, many of which left its viewers reeling. As well as adding to its list of original programmes, the streaming giant also expanded its library with the addition of shows that originally aired on Sky and Paramount Plus.

This list includes famous faces such as Stephen Graham, Kevin Costner, Ashley Walters, and Christian Horner, who have appeared on Netflix. Alongside newcomers such as Owen Copper Faith Hill and Cezary Lukaszewicz, making their debut on the streamer. Whether you’re binge-watching or tuning in for the first time, here are some of the best shows released in March to add to your watchlist.

This hard-hitting drama follows the story of a teenage boy, Jamie Miller (played by Owen Cooper), who has murdered fellow classmate Katie.

As the drama, which features Stephen Graham as the boy’s father, unpacks the reasons behind the killing, its harrowing storyline has been praised as a “must-watch.”

Adolescence stirred important conversations about incel culture, toxic masculinity and teenage social media usage.

Although it contains just four episodes, its remarkable one-shot nature has wowed audiences, and even Prime minister Keir Starmer admitted he watched it with his teenage children and backed calls for the series to be shown in schools.

Kevin Costner leads the cast of Yellowstone as rancher John Dutton, who faces pressure from land developers to sell his family ranch.

With the largest ranch in America and internal conflicts in the lives of his staff and adult children, John is forced to fight corruption and take matters into his own hands.

This American drama was originally aired on Paramount Plus, became a major success and earned the network a record-breaking success after its 2024 finale aired with 11.4 million viewers.

Alongside Coster, the Western also stars Kelly Reilly, Cole Hauser, Wes Bentley, Luke Grimes, and Kelsey Asbille.

This 2021 miniseries is a Yellowstone spin-off which transports viewers with the origin story of the Dutton family as John’s 19th-century ancestors, James (played by Tim McGraw) and Margaret Dutton (Faith Hill), embark on the journey to obtain the sprawling ranch.

Their gruelling trek takes them on a wild journey west from Texas to Montana through the Great Plains to seek a better future after the Civil War.

However, after leading a life of poverty, their journey doesn’t come without hardship as they encounter heartbreak, division and brutal attacks.

While the series didn’t get a second season, Yellowstone fans gained important insight into the difficulties the Dutton family faced in establishing their ranch.

This month, the F1 docuseries returned to Netflix with its seventh season documenting the 2024 Formula One World Championship.

The 10 episodes kicked off with a rehashing of Christian Horner‘s Red Bull scandal, during which he faced an investigation and allegations of inappropriate behaviour.

This included claims of controlling and coercive behaviour and sexual harassment but was cleared by an independent investigation.

This Italian drama became an instant hit with viewers as they were whisked back to the 19th century and the dazzling 1860s Sicily.

The Leopard is an on-screen adaptation of Giuseppe Tomasi di Lampedusa’s classic 1958 novel about the dying Sicilian aristocracy threatened by the approaching forces of opposition.

With a threat looming on the Royal Family, Don Fabrizio Corbera (Kim Rossi Stuart), the prince of Salina, sets out to protect his lineage by arranging a marriage between the wealthy Angelica (Deva Cassel) to his nephew Tancredi (Saul Nanni), at the risk of betraying his beloved daughter Concetta (Benedetta Porcaroli).

This Polish-language crime drama has taken Netflix viewers by storm as it follows a woman who uncovers a conspiracy after finding a mysterious photo of her husband.

The thrilling mini-series is another adaptation from Harlan Coben’s novels, which is among the Netflix re-telling of Fool Me One, Safe, Stay Close and Missing You.

In the photo, Greta (played by Maria Debska) is forced to confront her husband, as the photo features a crossed-out face next to his.

However, as she searches for him, Greta realises her husband has been kidnapped.

Steth Lets Flats is a British 2018 sitcom created by Jamie Demetriou which originally aired on Channel 4.

This BAFTA-winning comedy follows the incompetent lettings agent Stath, who works for the family business in charge of letting apartments in hopes of one day taking over the company.

However, he hilariously struggles to do the straightforward task and wrestles not to be outshone by their top agent, ruthlessly ambitious Carol (Katy Wix).

The cast includes Natasia Demetriou, Christos Stergioglou, Katy Wix, Ellie White, Al Roberts as Al, and Kiell Smith-Bynoe.

Meghan Markle made her eagerly-awaited return to Netflix earlier this month with her cooking series, With Love, Meghan, as part of her lifestyle brand, As Ever.

The series sparked a flurry of mixed reactions from viewers as the Royal shared some of her favourite recipes with fans and introduced some of her Hollywood pals.

With Love, Meghan is part of a five-year multi-million deal the Sussexes were offered by the streamers after leaving Royal duties and thankfully for fans, it was revealed that the Duchess’ show was renewed for a second season.

In addition to With Love, Meghan, they also released their docu-series Harry and Meghan, Heart of Invictus, Polo and Live to Lead on the streamer with their production company, Achewell Productions.
