  • The Osbournes was a hit reality TV show on MTV from 2002 to 2005
  • Ozzy Osbourne starred on the show with his wife, Sharon Osbourne, and two of their three children, Jack and Kelly Osbourne
  • Twenty years after their show ended, the family shared their immense grief when Ozzy died on July 22

Ozzy Osbourne, his wife Sharon Osbourne, and two of their children, Jack and Kelly Osbourne, made history with the success of their reality TV show The Osbournes in 2002.

The MTV show became an instant hit as it showed the family’s dynamics with the Black Sabbath frontman, who was also just their dad and husband. Twenty years after The Osbournes ended, Ozzy died on July 22 at 76 years old.

“It is with more sadness than mere words can convey that we have to report that our beloved Ozzy Osbourne has passed away this morning,” the family said in a statement. “He was with his family and surrounded by love. We ask everyone to respect our family privacy at this time.”

Although Ozzy had been living with Parkinson’s disease since 2019, he had committed to a Black Sabbath farewell concert just weeks before his death in his hometown of Birmingham, England, on July 5.

The concert was a major moment for the Osbourne family, as Sharon, Kelly and Jack were all present. Kelly and Jack also brought their children and significant others to see Ozzy perform one last time.

Here’s everything to know about what the Osbournes have been up to since The Osbournes ended in 2005.

Twenty years after The Osbournes ended, Ozzy died on July 22, 2025, at the age of 76.

In 2020, the rocker revealed that he was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease, a nervous system disorder, the previous year, but he was adamant at the time that it was “not a death sentence.” In February 2025, Ozzy shared that the disease had impaired his mobility and he was no longer able to walk.

“I have made it to 2025. I can’t walk, but you know what I was thinking over the holidays? For all my complaining, I’m still alive,” Osbourne said on his SiriusXM radio show in early 2025. “I may be moaning that I can’t walk, but I look down the road, and there’s people that didn’t do half as much as me and didn’t make it.”

In addition to his journey with Parkinson’s disease, Ozzy struggled with a string of other health issues — including getting diagnosed with pneumonia and suffering a fall in 2019 and undergoing spinal surgery.

Despite the health setbacks, Ozzy remained determined to perform and sang at the 2022 Commonwealth Games.

“That’s the only thing that reminds me I’m getting older: things going wrong and not working anymore,” he told PEOPLE at the time. “But I still feel young at heart.” Ozzy was honored with a Lifetime Achievement Award at the Grammy Awards in 2019.

In his personal life, the rocker was married to Sharon for 43 years since tying the knot in 1982. Although the two briefly separated in 2016 amid allegations of an affair, they got back together a few months later and renewed their vows on Mother’s Day 2017.

Ozzy was a father to six children — Jessica, Louis, Aimee, Kelly, Jack and Elliot — and had 10 grandchildren.

Before The Osbournes ended in 2005, Sharon was a judge and mentor on British X Factor from 2004 until 2007, returning to the competition show in 2013 and 2016. She also judged America’s Got Talent from 2007 to 2012.

Sharon pivoted towards the talk show route with her own show in 2003 and again in 2006, before joining The Talk in 2010. She exited the show in 2021 following a controversial episode in which she defended friend Piers Morgan over comments he’d made regarding Meghan Markle.

Sharon had colorectal cancer in 2002 and had a double mastectomy in 2012 after discovering she was at risk of breast cancer. Sharon also underwent a physical transformation and had a significant weight loss after using Ozempic.

After the show, Sharon and Ozzy spent their free time with their kids and grandchildren.

Jack was just 16 years old when the show premiered in 2002. Over the years, he has been open about his struggle with drugs and alcohol before getting sober when he was 17 years old.

It’s a long time,” he told PEOPLE in April 2019. “I chose to kind of commit myself to living life sober.”

In March 2019, Jack finalized his divorce from wife Lisa Stelly after six years of marriage. The two agreed to joint custody of their three young daughters: Pearl Clementine (born April 2012), Andy Rose (born June 2015) and Minnie Theodora (born February 2018).

At the age of 26, Jack was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis. In a 2012 interview with PEOPLE, Sharon shared her initial response to her son’s diagnosis.

“The first thing Ozzy and I asked ourselves was, ‘What did we do wrong?’ ” she said, while Ozzy added, “I was very sad and totally in shock. [But] I’ve got to tell you, he’s handled it much better than I would have. He’s a very strong kid.”

In December 2021, Jack announced his engagement to Aree Gearhart, and they got married in September 2023. The couple are parents to daughter Maple Artemis Osbourne (born July 2022).

“Something really cool happened,” Jack captioned a photo from their wedding day. “I married the most amazing woman I’ve ever met. All in.”

Kelly is just one year older than her brother, Jack, whom she spent a lot of time butting heads with on the show. In 2002, she released her album, Shut Up, and flexed her vocal chops again on The Masked Singer in 2019.

Since The Osbournes ended, she authored a book, There’s No F*cking Secret: Letters From a Badass Bitch, which was released in 2017. Kelly also had a main role on Fashion Police from 2010 to 2015 and scored third place on Dancing with the Stars in 2009.

As for her personal life, Kelly got engaged to Slipknot rocker Sid Wilson just weeks before her dad died. Wilson popped the question in front of her entire family during Ozzy’s final concert with Black Sabbath on July 5.

Kelly posted a video of the engagement, where Wilson told her, “Kelly, you know I love you more than anything in the world … Nothing would make me happier than to spend the rest of my life with you. So, in front of your family and all of our friends, Kelly, will you marry me?”

The couple welcomed their first child together, a son named Sidney, in November 2022.
