“Tiger King” star Joe Exotic has tied the knot with a fellow prison inmate.

Exotic announced his marriage in an X post Tuesday, April 22 that included a picture of him and his husband Jorge Marquez.

“Never been more proud of someone,“ the post reads. ”Meet my husband Jorge Flores Maldonado.”

Exotic, whose real name is Joseph Allen Maldonado, revealed his engagement to Marquez last October.

“Meet Jorge Marquez he is 33. He is so amazing and is from Mexico,” the 62-year-old wrote in an X post at the time.

“Now, the quest of getting married in prison and getting him asylum or we be leaving America when we both get out,” he wrote. “Either way, I wish I would have met him long ago.”

Maldonado rose to fame as the eccentric Oklahoma zoo owner who was the main focus of “Tiger King.” The Netflix series premiered in March 2020 and became a cultural phenomenon.

Maldonado is currently serving a 21-year prison sentence for plotting to hire a hitman to kill his rival, and fellow “Tiger King” star, Carole Baskin.

He was arrested in September 2018 while filming the hit reality show, according to the New York Post. Maldonado was convicted in 2019 and was initially sentenced to 22 years. His sentence was reduced in January 2022.

Maldonado was previously married to Travis Maldonado from 2015 until 2017. He died after accidentally shooting himself.

The zookeeper then wed Dillon Passage in December 2017 — just two months after Travis’ death. The couple divorced in March 2021.
