Tszyu (24-2, 17 KOs) had a nightmare campaign in 2024, suffering the first two defeats of his professional career. Tszyu, the son of the legendary Kosta Tszyu, lost his WBO super welterweight championship to Sebastian Fundora in March 2024 by split decision after suffering a nasty cut in the early rounds.

Tszyu then challenged Bakhram Murtazaliev for the IBF championship in October but fell short to the Russian, who produced a demolition job, scoring four knockdowns for a third-round TKO in Orlando.

Spencer (19-1, 11 KOs) suffered his sole defeat on the David Benavidez vs. Caleb Plant undercard in March 2023, after he was stopped in Round 7 by top prospect Jesus Ramos Jr. Since then, Spencer has put together three low-profile wins over the past 18 months, and now looks to inflict a third consecutive defeat on Tszyu.

Should Tszyu defeat Spencer on Saturday night, a July 6 date on the Gold Coast has been reserved by his promoters, No Limit Boxing, for a potential fight with Keith Thurman. Thurman made his Australian debut in March, knocking out Brock Jarvis in the third round in a fight that ended a three-year layoff for the former unified welterweight champion.

Tszyu vs. Spencer begins at 10 p.m. ET on Prime Video, with the main event ring walks expected at 12:30 a.m. ET.
