Six months ago, the Yankees’ 15-year pennant drought came to a close on a chilly night in Cleveland. Juan Soto had one of the most impressive at-bats in playoff history, and his three-run homer in the 10th inning of ALCS Game 5 helped the Yankees beat the Guardians, four games to one. What happened after that? Well, we don’t have to get into it right now. But it was a helluva moment. Now, the Yankees return to Cleveland for the first time since then, sans three key players from that series: Soto and the now-injured Gerrit Cole and Giancarlo Stanton (the ALCS MVP). Ah, those sands of time.

1. Worse umpiring decision yesterday: Reversing the called error to an infield hit a full inning later to end the no-hitter, or calling Aaron Judge’s monster homer foul and letting it stand upon review?

2. Maybe a weird question, but is it hard for you to look back on the 2024 ALCS at all considering how prominent Juan Soto was in the best moments?
