The Tigers (27-6) look to match or exceed last season’s March Madness run to the Elite Eight with their best NCAA Tournament seed since 2018.
McNeese (27-6) is led by coach Will Wade, a Clemson alum who is reportedly the top candidate to become NC State’s new coach upon the end of the season.
Thursday’s winner will face 4-seed Purdue in a second-round game on Saturday.
