The biggies

The Studio (Apple TV+, Wednesday, 12:01 a.m.)

Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg poke fun at Hollywood in their satirical series, in which the former plays Matt Remick, the new head of a movie studio who struggles to get his passion projects off the ground while being inundated with IP scripts. Ike Barinholtz, Chase Sui Wonders, Catherine O’Hara, and Kathryn Hahn play his colleagues, and the show boasts a lot of fun cameos. The A.V. Club will recap the series weekly.

Side Quest (Apple TV+, Wednesday, 12:01 a.m.)

Each installment of this four-part Mythic Quest spin-off examines how the video game has affected different people in the show’s universe, including the company’s art director and the owner of a comic-book shop. Rob McElhenney reprises his role as Ian Grimm, and the ensemble also includes Anna Konkle, Shalita Grant, William Stanford Davis, Esai Morales, and Derek Waters. Check out The A.V. Mid-Century Modern (Hulu, Friday, 12:01 a.m.)

In the multi-cam sitcom Mid-Century Modern, three gay men (played by Nathan Lane, Matt Bomer, and Nathan Lee Graham) live together in a Palm Springs home and navigate their professional and personal dilemmas. The series also features Linda Lavin’s final onscreen performance.

Wolf Hall: The Mirror And The Light (PBS, Sunday, 9 p.m.)

Ten years after Mark Rylance led Wolf Hall as Thomas Cromwell, he steps into those stately shoes again for this six-episode follow-up. In The Mirror And The Light, the adviser figures out his place in the Tudor court after the execution of Anne Boleyn. Damian Lewis, Timothy Spall, Harriet Walter, and Jonathan Pryce co-star. Chelsea Handler: The Feeling (Netflix, Tuesday, 3:01 a.m.)

In her third Netflix comedy special, Chelsea Handler talks about her own birth and why people “should should shut the fuck up about pickleball,” among other topics.

Holland (Prime Video, Thursday, 3:01 a.m.)

Fresh director Mimi Cave’s latest film centers on small-town teacher (played by Nicole Kidman) who suspects her husband (portrayed by Matthew Macfadyen) of living a double life—and soon learns the truth is worse than she initially imagined. Number One On The Call Sheet (Apple TV+, Friday, 12:01 a.m.)

In this two-part docuseries from producer Kevin Hart, Hollywood’s leading Black talent discuss their journeys in the business. The interviewees include Alfre Woodard, Don Cheadle, Taye Diggs, Halle Berry, Viola Davis, Laurence Fishburne, Daniel Kaluuya, Morgan Freeman, Angela Bassett, Eddie Murphy, and many others.
