The University of Alabama is one of the more recognizable college names in the U.S. But Robert Morris? That’s a little more obscure.
The second-seed Crimson Tide (25-8) will take on the 15-seed Robert Morris Colonials (26-8) today at 11:40 a.m. in the first round of the NCAA tournament.

Robert Morris is a private university in Moon Township, Pennsylvania, a suburb of Pittsburgh. Founded in 1921, it was named after Robert Morris, a Founding Father and Pennsylvanian known as the “Financier of the American Revolution.” That patriotic tie translates to RMU’s colors – fittingly, they are red, white and blue.
The school has about 5,000 students and competes in the Horizon League for men’s basketball.
RMU’s head coach is Andrew Toole, who is in his 15th season of leading the Colonials.
