UConn guard Paige Bueckers is one of the hottest names in the current basketball scenario. Projected as the first overall pick in the 2025 WNBA Drafts, Bueckers is leading the way for her side in the season with an average of 20.0 points per game. She is maintaining 4.4 rebounds on an average and 4.7 assists per game.
Bueckers, a senior at UConn, has scored a total of 132 points so far in the March Madness 2025. She came up with her career-high score during 82-59 victory over Oklahoma in the Sweet16, as she posted 40 points, six rebounds and one assist to lead the side to the Elite Eight. In the Final Four round, Bueckers came up with 16 points and guided the side to the championship game.
In her freshman season, the 6-feet guard led her team to the Big East regular-season title, where he earned the Big East Player of the Year as well as Big East Freshman of the Year. In 2021, she became the first freshman to win the Nancy Lieberman Award as the top point guard in the nation. Bueckers missed the 2022 season with a torn ACL, leaving a direct impact on the side. It was in that year, UConn failed to qualify for the Final Four since 2008.
In her senior year, she became the first player to win the Big East tournament MOP three times. As per the latest announcement by the Women’s Basketball Coaches Association, Bueckers received the Wade Trophy for 2025.

Paige Bueckers is the daughter of Bob Bueckers and Amy Fuller. She grew up with her father in Minnesota since her parents got separated when she was three years old. Her mother, on the other hand, went on to live in Billings, Montana.
Both Bob and Amy remarried with their new respective partners, and hence, she doesn’t have biological siblings, but has three half siblings. Bueckers is close to her father, and he has attended every single game that she has played.

Paige Bueckers’ father is Bob Bueckers. He is a software engineer, and has worked for big guns like Anderson Consulting, US Bank, UnitedHealth Group, and Pearson VUE. Bueckers Seniors is a Minnesota State University graduate and played basketball in his college days. Needless to say, Paige Bueckers inherited her basketball skills from her father, who introduced her to the game when she was just five.
Bueckers’ mother is Amy Fuller, a former athlete in her college days. She graduated from the St. Thomas University and competed in track and field and cross country during that time.
Both Paige Bueckers’ parents, Bob Bueckers and Amy Fuller, are American nationals.
