Wilmer-Hutchins High School shooting:17-year-old injured, sources say

DALLAS – There is a large police presence outside of Wilmer-Hutchins High School in Dallas after what the district is calling a “shooting incident” on Tuesday afternoon.

Sources tell FOX 4 say a 17-year-old suspect was shot in the leg.

What we know:

Dallas police say they responded to a shooting call around 1 p.m. 

There are several emergency vehicles in the 5500 block of Langdon Road, which is where the high school is located.

Images from SKY 4 show a heavy police response at the school with numerous ambulance vehicles.

Dallas ISD says safety protocols are in place.

SKY 4 captured shots of several students leaving the building and heading toward Wilmer-Hutchins Eagle Stadium.

Parents and community members are being urged not to come to the campus. 

Reunification plans are expected to be shared shortly.

What we don’t know:

The details of the incident have not been released.

There is no word on any injuries.
