WMU hockey national championship game: Puck drop time, watch parties, events and more

KALAMAZOO, Mich. — The Western Michigan University Broncos hockey team is set to compete for a national championship tonight in St. Louis.

After defeating defending champion Denver University in the semifinals of the Frozen Four on Thursday, the Broncos will take on Boston University at 7:30 p.m. EST on ESPN2.

WWMT’s Andy Pepper and Nate Brown will begin bringing live coverage from St. Louis and Kalamazoo, respectively, at 6 p.m. on ARC West Michigan.

Plenty of events are being held for Bronco fans, both in St. Louis and Kalamazoo. A list of these events can be found here.

Broncos fans in Kalamazoo can watch the game at a watch party at University Arena, with doors opening at 6:30 p.m. Fans can enjoy giveaways, concessions, music, chances to win prizes, and more.

Another watch party is being held in Detroit at Bookie’s Bar, located at 2208 Cass Avenue. The party begins at 7 p.m., and $10 registration includes two drink tickets good for domestic beer, house wine and well cocktails
