The 2025 women’s NCAA basketball tournament is set to tip off as 64 teams look to win it all and make their mark on history. The UCLA Bruins clinched the overall No. 1 seed after a resounding Big 10 tournament win, and spent 12 weeks at No. 1 in the AP poll.
Across the bracket is reigning champion South Carolina, who are looking to repeat history and give head coach Dawn Staley her fourth ring.
USC and Texas round out the one-seeds, and there’s a slew of dangerous teams no one wants to play. Paige Bueckers looks to lead UConn to victory in her last year as a Husky, and TCU, Notre Dame and NC State all boast impressive resumes and heaps of talent.
In the wake of stars like Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese leaving the NCAA, there’s plenty of new faces and returning veterans ready to make a deep run. JuJu Watkins and Kiki Iriafen will be aiming to win it all for the Trojans, and rookies like UConn’s Sarah Strong and Joyce Edwards of the Gamecocks are ready to show off their skills and strengths to the nation.
