Yolanda Hadid is a proud mama.
She showed some love to her eldest daughter, Gigi Hadid, in honor of the model’s 30th birthday on April 23 with a series of photos on Instagram throughout her childhood years, from blowing out the candle on her first birthday cake to posing in her high school volleyball team.
“Today is your special day and I want to say thank for choosing me to be your mommy and for all the love, light and reflection you have brought into my life,” Yolanda wrote in the caption of the Instagram post.

Yolanda continued, “when I look at pictures of our journey I feel so much gratitude for the incredible memories we have created together. Wether [sic] it was skiing, horseback riding, surfing, skating, para sailing It was never too big, too high or too fast. You were magically fearless…
and that extraordinary courage and determination shines through in everything you do in life.”

Yolanda — who is also mother to Bella Hadid and Anwar Hadid — concluded the sweet post with a shout-out to Gigi’s own skills as a mother to her and Zayn Malik’s daughter, Khai.
“My biggest joy is watching you do motherhood. Your love and passion for Khai fills my heart with so much pride. Thank you for sharing this most precious gift of life with me,” Yolanda concluded the post, noting that she can’t wait to celebrate Gigi’s birthday as a family.

“I love you ♾️♾️♾️ mama thank you for 30 years of life and love. Happy Birth Day,” Gigi sweetly replied in the comments section of the post.

The fashion community also came together in the comments to wish Gigi a happy birthday as well — ’90s supermodel Linda Evangelista gave the post red heart emojis, and Marc Jacobs commented, “Happy Birthday dear Gigi.” Elsewhere on Instagram, designers Donatella Versace and Thom Browne made respective birthday tribute posts for the model.
