Braves vs Diamondbacks Preview
Both Chris Sale and Zac Gallen, two of MLB’s elite starting pitchers, are struggling to begin the year.
However, I’m backing Gallen and the Snakes to get the job done on Friday.
The Braves are struggling more, sitting 10-14 before the beginning of this series. I don’t see this game going in their favor.
Zac Gallen Over 17.5 Outs Recorded
Gallen has been a consistent force over the past few seasons.
But this year, he’s 1-3 with a 5.60 ERA through five starts. It’s among his worst starts to a season since his career began.
That said, I’m confident he’ll pitch at least six innings on Friday.
The Snakes rely on him to go deep into games no matter his form. He’s tossed six innings in three of his five starts, including the past two consecutively. In his last outing, he allowed six runs to cross the plate, but they let him finish out six frames anyway.
I’m banking on more of the same on Friday.
